# Text Input Block

Creates a text field for user input. This field is open and allows the user to input anything.

* Click the pencil icon next to the prefilled text to edit it.
* Click the pencil icon next to the block’s title to edit it. This is also the block’s variable name, which can be used to dynamically populate data in other blocks.
