# Information for law enforcement

General inquiries from law enforcement, preservation requests, and service of process may be sent via email to <lawenforcement@glif.xyz>.

Inquiries must meet the following criteria:&#x20;

* Sent from an official law enforcement or government email address.
* Submitted on official letterhead and signed by the requesting officer or agent.
* Includes the requesting officer name and agency name.
* Includes the username of the account in question and any relevant links to content.

If it is an Emergency Disclosure Request (EDR), please identify the inquiry as such and also include:&#x20;

* The nature of the threat and why it is believed to be imminent.
* What specific information is being requested.&#x20;
* How the requested information will be used to avert the identified threat.
