Glif produces marketing video from a brief: hook, visuals, voiceover, captions, music and the final edit. Make ads for TikTok, Reels, YouTube and Meta, UGC-style creatives, product demos and short brand films without a shoot.

What you can make

Write a video brief

Include these so you get the right video the first time and avoid paying for redos:
  1. Goal and audience: awareness, consideration, conversion
  2. Platform and shape: 9:16 for TikTok/Reels/Stories, 1:1 or 4:5 for feed, 16:9 for YouTube
  3. Length: 6, 15 or 30 seconds, and the number of shots
  4. Hook: what happens in the first two seconds
  5. Sound: voiceover script, music mood, captions on or off
  6. On-screen talent: a Character keeps the same person in every shot and every ad
  7. Brand: brand kit, a Style, product photos, logo end card
  8. Draft or final: draft cheaply first, then upscale the winner
Example: “15-second 9:16 TikTok ad for our sleep gummies. Hook: someone hitting snooze for the fifth time. Three shots, upbeat voiceover, captions on, logo end card with ‘Sleep like you mean it.’ Use our brand kit. Draft quality.”

Make variations for testing

Ask for several hooks, voiceovers or openings in one request: “Make 3 versions of this ad with different hooks; keep the rest identical.” Keeping variations in one chat keeps talent, product and style consistent so you’re testing one thing at a time.

Adapt one video to every platform

Once a video is approved, ask Glif to make the other sizes and lengths you need, such as a 9:16 Reel, a 1:1 feed version and a 6-second bumper, instead of starting over.

Keep video on brand

  • Use the same Character across a campaign for consistent talent.
  • Upload your product photos so the product looks right in every shot.
  • Ask for your logo end card and brand colors in captions and graphics.
  • Keep all shots and versions of a campaign in the same chat.

What Glif can do with video

  • Text to video and image to video
  • Native audio and lip-synced speech on some models
  • Start-and-end-frame shots
  • Motion copied from a reference video
  • Background removal, trims, joins, overlays and captions
  • Upscaling up to 4K on some models
  • Sound effects for silent clips

How long it takes

Simple clips can be ready in about a minute. Multi-shot ads with voiceover and music often take 1–5 minutes or more. You can watch progress in the chat.

Cost

Video uses the most credits. Length, resolution, takes and the intelligence tier all affect cost. Draft at low resolution, choose winners, then upscale only those. See Credits and Payments.

Running a video job

  • Confirm platform, ratio, length, number of versions, audio and draft/final with the user before calling compose_project. Versions × formats × length drive cost.
  • Follow the job with get_job_status, passing each progressCursor back as progress_cursor. Share new clips as they arrive.
  • Don’t call compose_project again while the job is working.
  • Revise and cut down in the same project_id so talent, product and style carry over.
  • If polling must stop, share the projectUrl. Results remain available via get_project.
