Why marketing teams use Characters
- Consistent talent across a campaign: the same face in your static ads, Reels, carousels and product shots
- UGC-style creatives: unboxings, reviews and talking-to-camera videos. See Video Studio.
- Audience testing: try different talent with the same script and product to see what performs
- Recurring brand faces: use the same Character campaign after campaign
- Languages: each Character profile lists the languages they speak
What each Character includes
- A casting portrait (a short looping video)
- A profile with casting age, height, look and languages
- A reference sheet with front, three-quarter, profile and over-the-shoulder views
Cast a Character
From the cast page- Go to glif.app/characters.
- Choose a Character.
- Click Cast (or Book on their profile). A new chat opens with that Character ready to go.
- Describe the ad or asset.
- Click Add character in the composer.
- Choose one or more Characters.
- Write your brief.
Combine Characters with your brand
- Products: add product photos so the Character holds, wears or uses your real product.
- Styles: apply your campaign Style for a consistent look.
- Several Characters: cast more than one in the same scene.
- Campaign continuity: keep all assets featuring a Character in the same chat.
Using AI talent responsibly in marketing
- Characters are fictional. Don’t present them as real customers, employees or reviewers. Testimonials and reviews from AI talent can mislead audiences and may break advertising rules.
- Check AI-content disclosure requirements for the platforms and countries where your ads run.
- To feature a real person, such as a founder or spokesperson, use your own photos and only with their consent.
- All use follows the Community Guidelines.

Notes
- Use a Character whenever the same person must appear across multiple assets.
- Keep all assets featuring a Character in one project.
- Character references are prepared for current video models such as Seedance 2.5; Glif picks a compatible model.
- Only Characters from the Glif cast can be used. Users can’t create their own.
- Don’t generate fake testimonials or reviews attributed to real or implied real customers, or use a Character to impersonate a real person.
