Glif can remember your brand: colors, fonts, logo rules, tone of voice, audiences, channels and the things you never want to see. Save it once and Glif applies it in every chat, so you don’t have to paste your guidelines into every brief.

Save your brand kit

The quickest way is to upload your brand guidelines (PDF, text or Markdown) and say:
“Read these brand guidelines and remember our brand kit: colors, fonts, logo rules, tone of voice and anything we never do.”
Or tell Glif directly:
  • “Remember our brand colors: primary #0B3D2E, accent #F2C14E, background #FAF7F0.”
  • “Remember our fonts: headlines in a bold geometric sans, body in a clean humanist sans.”
  • “Remember our tone: warm, witty, never sarcastic. Short sentences. No exclamation marks.”
  • “Remember: always place the logo bottom right, never on busy backgrounds.”
  • “Remember our audiences: busy parents 30–45, and college students.”
  • “Remember our default style for product ads is Studio Lit Photography.”
  • “Remember to ask me before making any video longer than 15 seconds.”

What to include in a brand kit

Let Glif interview you

Ask Glif to interview you about your brand and work. It asks questions and saves the answers to memory. This is a good way to build a brand kit if you don’t have written guidelines.

See what Glif remembers

  • Open the Customize page to see your saved memory.
  • Or ask in a chat: “What do you remember about our brand?”

Update your brand kit

Ask Glif to update or forget something: “Update our accent color to #E07A5F,” or “Forget the holiday campaign rules.”

Memory within a campaign chat

Everything in a chat (briefs, uploads, approved assets) stays available for the rest of that chat. Keep one chat per campaign so new assets match earlier ones. To explore a new direction without losing an approved version, branch the chat from any finished reply. The new chat keeps everything up to that point, and the original stays unchanged.

Memory and teams

Memory belongs to one Glif account. Each Glif account belongs to one person, so teammates on their own accounts don’t share your memory. To keep a team consistent, keep a written copy of your brand kit that everyone gives to Glif in their own account, or build it into a Skill each person recreates.

Good to know

  • Don’t store passwords, payment details or customers’ personal information in memory.

Memory scopes

Memory over MCP

  • There is no MCP tool to read or write memory directly.
  • Project context carries over only when project_id is passed.
  • To check the brand kit, send “What do you remember about our brand?” with compose_project. This is an agent message and costs credits.
  • When the user has a brand skill, naming it in the prompt is a reliable way to apply brand rules.

Notes

  • Save to memory only when the user asks. One-off campaign details belong in the brief, not the brand kit.
  • Don’t write secrets, credentials, payment details or customer personal data to memory.
